I had high expectations and was looking forward to dining out at Namaste. I must say, I was not disappointed.
The service was very friendly, prompt and efficient. Unfortunately this is becoming rare when eating at restaurants, so it does set Namaste apart from others. Well done.
And the food. Extraordinarily tasty and a very good balance of flavours. We asked for some of the hot dishes as “medium” and they were very nice. Might try a little hotter next time but I use a bit of chilli in my own cooking and found “medium” was quite satisfying for me.
To top off the night, the cost was much lower than expected (around $25 per head for plenty of food to fill us up). Amazing.
We went for dinner here, quite a small venue, but very friendly staff, explained options on the menu. The food was very tasty and we ordered more than enough for 3 people. The beef vindaloo, perfectly spiced and one of the best butter chickens I have ever tasted. The variety of breads were a perfect mix with the main meals. The price of $53.00 for 3 to have dinner was excellent. We also bought our own wine in and were surprised to find no corkage fee which is rare these days.Thank you to the staff and we will definitely return soon as we also live in the local area.
I am very happy to say that I finally found my favourite indian restaurant so far..food was amazing, fresh an most importantly in busy time they served me quick.
Many Aussies were there so I assume non-veg would be good too.
Worth giving a go, you won’t be disappointed.
Cheers
These guys just get it right. Reliably good food, good service and reasonable prices. There is a wide range of choices and the food is always fresh and well presented. Service is prompt and friendly, BYO on wine is always a welcome feature – the perfect neighbourhood ‘go to’ restaurant.
I am a fan of Indian food, and the Namaste certainly didn’t disappoint. Great food at a great price. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere … a good night out for all of us.
What a great place to eat. The staff are friendly and happy, the restaurant is very clean and tidy, the food is delicious and generous portions. The price is fantastic also.
Overall a great experience overall.
Great things do come in small packages!
Brilliant Indian restaurant in Bundoora, but not the only one & haven’t been to the other close by.
Great menu.
Usual issue with chef determination of medium vs hot but generally err on side of medium. Ok, that’s why you order the chutney to spice it up.
Food is always great & value for money.
Been going here for 15 years & hope they keep going. Obviously something right if they’ve been here this long- do yourself a favour Molly!
Spent our last night with friends and a BYO Merlot we’d bought in Yarra Valley (Punt Road Winery – very good), Decided on Indian – didn’t have a reservation but were able to get a table – place is quite small but appears to be busy which is a positive sign. Food was up to a good standard and we enjoyed our evening. Plenty of wait staff so no problem getting their attention -they kept us in water without having to ask which is also good service. Overall we’d say worth a visit – good Indian food – but may be worth booking table as there was a steady flow of customers and we may have been lucky to score a table without a reservation.
Been here a couple of time. Food is always great and service is very good. Highly recommend for any occasion.
